I'm the director of a contemporary art gallery in Tel Aviv and work also as

independant curator. I work since one year on a project dealing with

artistic practice in post-traumatic situation (drifts of political systems,

reconfiguration of social and invidual landscapes, use of traces are some of

the issues).

Through the gallery, I try to "deconstruct" a little bit the notions of

center and periphery and to claim for possible autonomy of different

artistic scenes.

Israel is, as you may imagine, in a situation of aggression, auto-aggression

and accident, now more than a few years ago and with the catastrophic

consequences that are the logical following of such a situation. I can send

a more detailed and precise document about it if you want (war, shoah,

suicide terrorist attacks, mourning, camps, ghetto are our daily topics as

well as control by the religion, nationalism, patriotism).
